Excluding Avengers, Black Panther (2018) is undoubtedly the highest-grossing superhero movie globally. While not reaching the same heights as its predecessor, 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,' released after the passing of lead actor Chadwick Boseman, still achieved impressive box office numbers, earning over $860 million.

Particularly noteworthy is that 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' achieved critical and commercial success amidst a period where most recent Marvel films have received negative reviews from both critics and audiences. Along with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, it stands out as a success in both aspects. Therefore, the production of Black Panther 3 is practically a certainty. News regarding Black Panther 3 has been circulating. A Twitter (X) account, presumably operated by someone from Marvel Studios or within the industry, has been providing updates.

The War Between America and Wakanda

The war between America and Wakanda was practically inevitable. In 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,' American intelligence agents are depicted potentially planning an invasion of Wakanda to seize vibranium. Namor of Talokan aimed to sink the surface world before facing invasion by America, leading to conflict with Shuri (Letitia Wright), the Black Panther.

Specifically, towards the end of the second film, Shuri and Namor forge an alliance, promising to support each other if America attacks. This ending explicitly hints at an American invasion of Wakanda in the sequel. In the second film, 'Valentina' (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), who was plotting the Wakanda invasion, also recruited 'U.S. Agent,' a symbol of American nationalism, in a Disney+ series.

Connection to the Okoye Series

Following the theatrical success of 'Wakanda Forever,' Marvel Studios entered into agreements with director Ryan Coogler to produce several spin-off projects. A TV series featuring Okoye as the protagonist and an animated series titled 'Eyes of Wakanda' featuring various Wakandan characters are currently in production.

Black Panther 3 is said to be influenced by events occurring within these series. However, Marvel Studios has recently been aiming to separate its Disney+ series from its films. It doesn't seem likely that Black Panther 3 will be heavily impacted by these Disney+ series.

The Appearance of 'Doctor Doom' Played by Cillian Murphy

Doctor Doom is a significant villain in Marvel Comics. While he primarily appears as an antagonist in Fantastic Four comics, he is reportedly not slated to appear in the 'Fantastic Four' film set for release in 2025. However, Marvel reportedly considers Cillian Murphy as their top choice for the role. Recent rumors suggest that this Doctor Doom will appear in Black Panther 3.

Shuri's Black Panther and Doctor Doom previously clashed in the 2010 Marvel Comics series 'Doomwar.' Doom was depicted as a villain attempting to steal Wakanda's vibranium through various schemes.

Of course, the specifics of Black Panther 3 haven't been publicly revealed or may not even be finalized within the studio. It's probably best to treat these rumors as entertaining speculation.
