The Stark Family Returns in House of the Dragon Season 2

HBO's 'House of the Dragon' premiered its first season in 2022 and achieved record-breaking viewership for a season 1. This series, a prequel to HBO's biggest hit, 'Game of Thrones,' features several characters and events mentioned in 'Game of Thrones'. In particular, this prequel depicts the houses of Westeros vying for control of the Iron Throne, which is still intact at this point in time.**

Matt Smith, one of the lead actors in the series, stated that the second season of House of the Dragon is likely to air in early summer this year. Season 2 will introduce more characters and locations. In particular, locations that appeared in Game of Thrones will reappear, and plot points that were not resolved in the main series are being revisited.

Dance of the Dragons

We will soon be able to witness this event, which is the most well-known among Westeros people and fans in the real world.

In particular, the Dance of the Dragons is expected to feature a large number of the franchise's largest action sequences. It also foreshadows the most tragic betrayals and deaths.

Winter is Coming BACK

House of the Dragon Season 2 will see the official introduction of House Stark and Winterfell. House Stark was practically the protagonist in 'Game of Thrones'. However, in House of the Dragon Season 1, Rickon Stark only made a brief appearance, and the family wasn't given much prominence. However, in the Season 1 finale, Jacaerys Velaryon rides a dragon to seek oaths of fealty from House Stark.

Cregan Stark, an ancestor of Jon Snow, will appear in Season 2. Cregan Stark will be played by Tom Taylor, a 2001-born British actor. He is set to join the war alongside Rhaenyra Targaryen in 'House of the Dragon'.

In addition, Winterfell, the ancestral home of House Stark, and The Wall, located at the northern edge of the realm, will also reappear in the series.

A Song of Ice and Fire

'A Song of Ice and Fire' is the title of the novel series that 'Game of Thrones' is based on. However, neither the original novel series nor the TV series has revealed what 'A Song of Ice and Fire' actually is. This is due to the fact that the original novel series has not yet concluded.

Interestingly, the meaning of 'A Song of Ice and Fire' was revealed in House of the Dragon Season 1 in 2022. It is a prophecy passed down among the Targaryen heirs, stating that a promised prince will be born among their descendants and prevent the end of the world.

In truth, this should have been revealed in 'Game of Thrones'. However, 'Game of Thrones' has already concluded, and it remains to be seen whether 'House of the Dragon' will pick up on this plot point. Particularly, given that news of sightings of The Wall and White Walkers at the filming location has surfaced, I suspect that related stories may be presented.
