'The Guard' (Bohoja) was much more enjoyable than I anticipated. It truly exceeded my expectations. Jung Woo-sung's acting was, as always, phenomenal, and the supporting cast delivered impressive performances.

First, I'd like to mention Kim Nam-gil's acting. His complete immersion into the character of 'Woo-jin' was truly remarkable. He delicately portrayed the character's complex psychological state and emotions. His performance was particularly striking in scenes where anger and sadness intertwined.

The other actors were also excellent. Jung Woo-sung's portrayal of 'Soo-hyuk' was truly terrifying, but the unwavering determination behind his fear was striking. And Park Yoo-na's performance as 'Jin-a' showcased a very realistic portrayal of fluctuating emotions.

The overall atmosphere and direction of the film were also impressive. The camera angles, color palette, and sound design enhanced the immersive experience. There were many suspenseful scenes, keeping the audience engaged throughout. However, the abundance of violent scenes might raise concerns about its explicit content.
One minor drawback was the somewhat simplistic character development. It would have been beneficial to provide the characters with more complex psychological aspects or backgrounds.

Overall, 'The Guard' is a thrilling and immersive film. The outstanding performances by Jung Woo-sung and the rest of the cast, coupled with the strong direction, are noteworthy. Despite some potentially explicit scenes, I consider it a rather good film. I enjoyed it more than I expected.
